RICHARD PLINCKE RI

I have drawn and painted since childhood. Encouraged during my schooldays, I joined the Art School at Stowe, Buckingham, where tuition at a young age is a catalyst for expressive ideas in painting, and leads also to more inspired use of colour and tone.
My output in largely in watercolour, and mixed media using guache and acrylic, occasionally with a few accents added in oil pastel. Collage is also useful for added interest. Apart from this, work over the years has gradually changed from earlier relatively traditional styles, to the more adventurous world of experimentation and ideas, and with more vivid and imagery.
I have also designed tapestries, run workshops and courses, demonstrations, and lectures for art societies, and I have taken part in two BBC television programmes each comparing the work of three artists and their individual styles, while painting a given subject - Nautical for the first occasion, and Steamtrains on the Watercress Railway, Hampshire, for the second.
