MICHEL DT

As a self-educated and individualistic person, I started drawing and writing comic strips scenario in 1968.
From 1970 onwards I produced different types of artistic works :
advertising design ,oil painting, pen-and-ink drawing, cliparts, mixed media and comic strips.
Two specific facts : I worked as a figurative artist up to 2001-2002 and painted very few watercolours.

While visiting an exhibition about Zao Wou-Ki´s works in Brussels, things suddenly fell into place : « Abstract Art » will be my main style of painting to express what I had felt when seeing the paintings.
in 2002, I discovered Carl Jung and the mandalas he used for therapy.
The next year I was deeply impressed by Gao Xingjan´s exhibition in Mons.
From 2004 to 2008 I attended numerous exhibitions about abstract and contemporary artists.
The next three years I took part of several trainings with worldfamous watercolour painters.
In 2012, I was nominated at the “International Watercolour Exhibition” organized in Estaimpuis (Belgium).

Then I have been invited or selected to take part to International Watercolour Exhibitions.
I keep on using the same leitmotive in my works :

« Reaching an aim encourages permanent constructive questioning ».
